Capt. Jonathan D. Parmet
Born in South Florida, Capt. Parmet was enjoying boating with his Father even before he took his first steps. Most of his early boating experience took place throughout South Florida and the Florida Keys. During high school, he enrolled in the Marine Mechanics program at McFatter Voc-Tech. His love for the water led him to enroll in The United States Coast Guard after high school. Parmet served aboard both a 180-foot buoy tender performing aids to navigation and aboard a 210-foot cutter performing narcotics interdiction and immigration patrol during his enlistment. Afterwards, he worked with Sea Tow Fort Lauderdale as a Captain. Parmet has years of small boat handling experience, and currently runs vessels up to 80 feet in South Florida and throughout the Bahamas. He holds a USCG 100GT license with a commercial towing endorsement.

In Memory of David Mark Parmet (1943-1992)
I am truly fortunate to have been born “The son of a sailor”. I will always remember my father for teaching me to respect the ocean and for giving me the courage to lose sight of land.
